Well we went down, and oh dear, we are in love.....they have a Cha Cha Cha Azure 1.3 Lounge that was the business, the missus is desperate for one, and as ive booked my car for its 1st service there on Monday, we are going to go back and pass some time talking numbers and hopefully driving it, as they say that car is not yet sold and if they can they will sell it.

It looked gorgeous, albeit slightly effeminate in that colour but hey im not one to care as long as I like it!

Same cars at our local dealer (Vospers Plymouth) - I was taken by the white Lounges, really liked them. Thought the launch party was fantastic.

to be honest they all looked fab, at mine the red sport was outside under a spotlight so they could run the engine and show off all the features etc, it was a good event really, with a DJ and everything! I love the look of them on 16 inch wheels too, makes it sit better IMO.

1st thought is Cha Azure with Ivory and blue interior and a couple of options, as the dealer says we cant get Funk white until September ish, but as they have changeable orders in the system we could get any other one around march time if we order very soon.

I've been to the launch at stoneacre in Rochdale, sat in a 1.4 16v white one with climate control, very nice.they will sell an awful lot of them I think at the expense of the mini.

God, don't talk to me about Stoneacre in Rochdale (n) I test drove the 1.4 16v Sport in Pasodoble Red, loved the car, was a great car to drive and looked stunning, decided to order myself one. Was a bit of hassle getting the order sorted with them, but it should be O.K now!

I ended up going for the 1.4 Sport in Pasodoble Red with the White stripe, 16" Multi-spokes, Chrome mirrors, Chrome kit and Red calipers. Been told that I should have it within 12 weeks.

Been at Grays in Warwick all eve, great turn out, very busy. 2 cars in the the showroom, one outside and our own one. Talked to a LOT of people from all walks and ages which was great. The test drive bookings were thick and fast too for this coming weekend.

It was nice to hear the round of applause when the wraps came off :)

I have been to a number of model launches and this was the best by far from a bums on seat statistic at least!

That's what I've gone for (y) looks ace doesn't it! You won't be able to buy the showroom / demo cars for another 3 months, you're best bet is to order a new one. Dealer depending, you could get it as early as the end of March, but more realisticly you'll be looking at April. :)

yeah he told me he couldnt sell the red or the white one but reckoned the blue one was a possibility, but at any rate ordering one next week should get it here by sometime in march they reckon so either way no great loss...

im debating having the glass roof that opens like on my GPS or just leaving the big glass panel, coz its standard on the Lounge and a cool feature!

what options have you gone for?

I've gone for a 1.2 Lounge in Cha Cha Cha with ESP and Dark Tinted Windows. I was going to add 16" multispoke wheels and foglights, today infact, but I recieved a call from my dealer saying the car is now fixed for production, earlier than expected, so I can't add anything on now :( Ahh well! I was in 2 minds over the foglights, couldn't make my mind up, so I guess it's made my mind up for me!

Be careful with the sunroof option. Some of them are delayed till Septemeber. My dealer also reckoned a new order for Funk White is now December.

Cheers

What problems did you have and with which salesman, i have just ordered one with chris, all went ok apart from having to wait for them to price up all the options i put on the car , oh and slipping on my backside on the way out due to the wet floor tiles.:bang:

The delays are only with the opening sunroof option and the Funk White production is still due to start in September but delivery was always likely to be around December.

im having a debate with myself about what to order if we go for one.

Either, get a 1.2 Pop and load it up with everything, a 1.2 Lounge with a couple of selected options, or a 1.4 lounge with the same few options, im just worried the 1.2 wont cut it on the motorway etc and will end up annoying me with its performance, I know its a light car but as a test drive will probably be around the block I wont experience motorway work in either car. Im confident the 1.4 will be good as ive got the 1.4 in the GPS and it performs well if u abuse it!

However as we know the price difference is really pretty big for just a bigger engine.

Went to Boston's of Milford, very impressed they did us proud, very busy and about time Fiat did a launch properly, a good product deserves shouting about.
Test drove a Sport, obviously engine was very tight and bearing this in mind did'nt want to over extend it, but was very impressed with the whole package.
At least one couple bought a Sport last night and probably more to judge by the interest being shown.(y)

I went to TJ Vickers in Telford, i'd say it was a good turnout, lots of free drink and italian food. The live link up to london wasn't fantastic we lost sound at about 7:57 so never heard any of it, wasn't really a bad thing as Mika was singing. As for the 500, i wasn't fully convinced, don't get me wrong the car looks fantastic and is deffinatly a step forward for fiat and also a serious contender for the mini. But its just litle things that are abit disappointing like: No glovebox, No city button if you have a sport, Big electric window buttons, Cream interior on the lounge model (will be filthy in 2 years) and also what is going on with them headrests they look like giant jelly tot sweets. They are my personnel opinions so feel free to agree and disagree.
