So, the 1963 film the Pink Panther was on the TV yesterday. Wife and I watched it. Great to see a Autobiachi being used. Also, wow, bang, whizz . . . film ended in Rome and my lord, great to see so many 500's on the road! Worth watching it just for this!

Strangely enough I watched this last night and was going to start a thread regarding....... Having been an avid Mini fan since an early age the 500's never really were focused on but wow how many of the things are in there!!!!! It was ace

That film brings tears to my eyes...…

Anyone remember the scene where a loaded car transporter is being used by the police to ram open the locked doors of the building the thieves had driven into...….

And they managed to topple a new Fiat 124 Sport Coupe? from on top of the car transporter onto an adjacent police car :cry:

I watched a documentary a while ago and they used quite a few non runners/rusted old cars tarted up to look new, so I always take hope that's what they where. Haha!!!

It was quite a good documentary about the film. Theres been many, this specific one was more detailed about all the cars used in the film as opposed to just the minis!

I think it would be good if you could do one of those virtual walk things using them headsets through the streets of Turin in the 60's! That would be good!

One car from the italian job I want to own (after a lottery win of course) is the mafias Fiat Dino! In my opinion one of the best looking cars!

More tv cars...

Congratulations Pickwick...
and didn't Peter O Toole look suave in the Etype..

well here is another from a film....

who is it and what's the film....

it certainly does...
a 1958 US spec 500N Sport...a rare beast indeed..
Some people don't like the big lights, but I think they make the car so different you are unlikely to see another so more of a talking point...
