Hallo everybody !

i am new here ! and i am thinking of buying of a 127 sport with 1050cc and 70 Bhp ! i am gonna rebuild it all from the beginning because they are sold in a really ****ty condition around here but the parts are really cheap !

so my question what can i fit to this engine ( a driect fit ) to increase performance ! ? i have heard of carbs and cams from larger engines? can anybody tell from which !?

thanx a lot guys !

well thanx for the support ! i am glad i found a forum foe the fiats !

Mike

i don't have the car yet ! i am asking before buyin teh car ! any help ! ?

hi
u can install an abarth camshaft, 2 weber DCOE's (with costumized manifold) and some sport mufler. that will give a punch ;)
the camshaft it's hard to find, at least here in portugal. the carbs u can take them from a alfa 33 1.5.

u can always install lancia y10 turbo engine (or a turbo). it has 85bhp and it's the same engine (1049cc) but it has forgit pistons, lower compression ratio and harder valve springs.

(btw, srry for the crappy english :p)

and gratz for the car, it kicks ass ;)

i myself am trying to buy a mk3 sport (1.3 litre, 75bhp) but that i know here in portugal r only 2 :( cause it was never sold here. both of them r from germany.

Don't do it! The 1300GT is really disappointing in comparison to the 1050 Sport. Hvae owned many 127s in my time and the 1050 Sport is by far the best of the lot. 1300GT is overweight and looks awful compared to the MK2. Sport is much more fun to drive too.

Man I wish I still had mine. Arancio racing orange it was too! :(

I have to agree on the 127 sport too. Somehow they just looked right and had an engine that just loved to rev.

I robbed the spoilers, clock/pressure gauge (replaced the central ash tray), dash, inlet manifold/twin choke webber and twin pipe rear box from a scrapped sport for my Palio. The carb made a huge difference to the standard 50hp. I would have done the cam too (longer duration timing) if I had known what I was doing back then.

I keep looking on ebay for a sport.

Me too as you well know Al lol!! I keep looking on all the ebays around Europe for one as well!
I know mate. That Spanish one you found really was top notch but the European spec ones just look so bluddy ordinary. No front splitter etc and came in really dull colours.

Give me arancio racing orange every time! :)
