Hi Folks,
Finally got myself a project 1300 GT and now the real fun starts . The car is currently a non-runner and is going to need some welding work around the passenger side rear arch but I think it's do-able.
I'm new to the Fiat game so expect a few dopey questions as i get into it. Other 127 owners - please say hello and wish me well!
Nick - W.Yorks.

Don't worry - it's in loving hands now and in a cosy garage awaiting much luurve (y)(y)

TBH it's mostly surface rust plus one gammy arch at the back. Currently also a non-runner but I'm hoping to put the first serious hours in this weekend to remedy that.

I'd be really interested in any info you can provide me with about your maintenance and repairs, 128CL. I can't believe you sold it when it looked that good!!

Cheers, Nick

when it had the car i replaced the o/s/f wheel bearing
front shocks
new clutch
all the gear linkage bushes
the inner driveshaft gaitors
kn filter
sport back box
welding the rear archs
when i got the car the last owner had replaced all the ignition parts
and the fuel pump to cure a cutting out problem
all i did to cure this fault was to correct the height of the float
in the carburettor
that car was a little flying machine i had graet fun in that car
one morning on my way to work from the hanger lane
roundabout past the ace cafe i was hitting 110 to lose some modern
hot hatch who was up my backside(y)

That's good to know mate - thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I'll be updating on progress on the retro rides website (my second home!) if you're interested. ATB Nick

I love the 13GTs. Just missed out on one when my Dad had our cracking wee 1050. Unfortunately it had seen a bit of action and it was sold. It was a gorgeous black Y plate and went like a bomb. Sad to see that there arent many left these days. It's great to see ones like yours that have had TLC lavished upon them.
