I've worked out that my Fiat 126P must have had a wasted spark ignition system since it does not have a hole in the engine block for the mechanical distributor rotor shaft. Nor does it have anything of the ignition system itself.
Googling and forum crawling has only gotten me more confused. Could someone, please, list all of the components in such an ignition system?
From what I gather, it still has to have a distributor (without rotor though), separate ignition coil, something that triggers the spark and possibly some other stuff. Is that correct?
Also, any pointers as to where Icould get any parts are much appreciated.
I've checked Axel Grestl and Ricambio for parts, but they only seem to have components for systems with mechanical distributers.
