General Which Engine do I have

I am new here and I would like to know which engine my fiat ducato maxi 1998 has since I have got no documentation at all only a logbook with no details about horsepower.

Have a look at this Wikipedia article.

The 2.8 idTD would be the most likely candidate. So search for photos of that engine for comparison.

I think jackwhoo is right because when I searched for a replacement engine the one with 86 hp with indirect fuel injection came up same as this one:
