Technical Still have clicking noise on rear wheel

I posted a thread back in march regarding a clicking noise coming from the rear offside wheel, I thought it was from the drive shaft coupling rubbing on the box section as it was so close, yesterday I opened the gap by 2mm but its still there. The strange thing is when I just touch the brakes it immediately stops then starts again when I release the brake pedal. Unfortunately the person before I acquired the car fitted discs all round (waste of time) I am going to have a look if the noise is coming from the discs next, unless any other suggestions.

I know getting at the rear wheel bearings is a pain on the 500… but if you fail to find the problem elsewhere, I had a clicking sound with some similar symptoms in my Lancia Fulvia which turned out to be a chipped wheel bearing race.

On the upside for the Fiat, the bearing won’t cost £140 like it did on the Lancia!
