Hi all,

Been a wee while since I've posted in here. The 126 is now back on the road and I'm almost ashamed to say I love it more than my Seicento

Anyway, it appears that at some point in it's life the rear light clusters have been switched to more modern ones as they have the white lenses for reverse lights and cable coming out of the back. However, the car itself does not have the relevant wiring to make these lights work. Does anyone know of a guide or can explain (in laymans terms) how to go about doing this?

Cheers!

First thing to check is whether you have the required plunger switch on the gearbox?

If so, this simply earths the -ve side of the reversing light circuit completeing the circuit, or may provide the +ve feed for the circuit.

In the former case, the plunger switch will have one terminal, in the second, it will have two.

Hope this helps.
