Hi all, has anyone replaced the CVT Boots/gaiters on a 1.9D?
MoT reports that the wheel end ones are split. Looking through the Peter Russek manual and some stuff on youtube suggests that each drive shaft needs to come out and then all four boots replaced.
Does anyone know any different? Can they be replaced without pulling the driveshafts from the gearbox? Because if I do that then it's gearbox draining and oil seal replacement (requiring a suitable mandrel, apparently)
Cheers
