Technical Oil pressure light after oil change - Help please!

Hi

Oil pressure light came on after oil and filter change, any ideas / help please?

I’ve tried putting the old filter back in to see if it was the new one but seemed to make no difference!

and is any one able to help me with where the oil pressure switch is? I can’t find a image/video covering this engine anywhere

Hi

The filter has 2 ways it can mount.. maybe you have it wrongly mounted?

On a petrol..with a spin.on filter the pressure sensor is there..

I never saw one on my diesels..

But I would revisit the filter..

I will try and find you more info..

You are not the 1st to have a similar issue

Have a look at that. It says that it's on the top of the cylinder head no 9.

Any chance that you might have touched the wiring?

My 1st experience was on a 2007

Similar.. not necessarily identical

It might not have had that stub.. I will try and find pics

Thank you, that would be appreciated - it’s the UFI type, so don’t think you can fit them the wrong way - I didn’t see anything to be swapped onto the new filter either,

I don’t think so, I did spill a bit of oil when I pulled the filter out and I think some dropped onto what I think is the aircon compressor connections, or at least that’s what it looks like so wondered if it might have been something to do with that, but a sensor isn’t expensive so was just thinking of changing it just in case if it’s easy enough to get to

Looks similar but different - see pic below, think I’ve found it (2nd pic) does that look right to you?

Despite giving the registration number, I was offered two filters for the 1.3 diesel. One was like the image and one had no valve. I bought both and returned the one with no valve.

Oil pressure switch is on the cylinder head front right. Number 9 in this EPER image.

Have you checked that wire hasn't been pulled out when in doing the oil?
