think were gonna be a last minute entry as we still havent a clue what were doing those two weeks. what are the chances of getting a space if we book like a week before?

Should be fine. We have turned up before without booking and there had room for us
Plus when you book you only leave your name and how many people are going with tent/s, there is no payment made.
If it was the weeks the kid's holidays where on it would be a different.

The road from Ambleside to Coniston is a blast - was up there a few weeks back, travelled in both directions twice a day just cos it was very fun! Twisty and break neck in places, but oh soooo much fun.
I might do a last minute adventure and bimble up, not sure yet though.
