Tuning NEED ADVICE! On turbo etc.

Hey, iv got a mk1 punto 1.7 turbo diesel..I was wondering if I could maybe fit a bigger turbo and whether this is a good idea? This car is purely just to drive for fun so I thought I'd play with the engine a bit..maybe fit a dump valve onto it? Have no experience with fiat cars so need some advice from you guys, cheers

Your first port of call is a decent book on turbocharging. Then a 'phone call to one of the turbo specialists.

It'll not be cheap!

TBH on an 15 years old car its a total waste of money. Flog the car and get something that does what you need. But if you must, older engines can often have an ECU chip upgrade. But its not cheap and if the engine is old and worn it wont make that power for very long.
