Technical How much oil?

Just checking that I'm reading Haynes manual right. Do these only take 2.5 quarts of oil? I have a fairly stock 126p 650cc engine

That just doesn't seem like enough...

Oh, I'm using Valvoline VR1 Racing (High Zinc) 20w-50

2.5 litres which a Google conversion says is 2.6 quarts. The dip stick is your friend on this one as it all depends on your sump.

According to "Haynes" the standard 500/126 sump takes 4.5 IMPERIAL (5.4 US) pints--2.6 litres.

Need to check mine so, 2.5 always brought it to the top line of the stick on a standard sump. Unless my dipstick is the wrong one! Thanks Hobbler!
