I was just wondering if this is normal, at 70mph on moterway my 1.2 2008 punto grande is sitting at around 3500revs. This just seems high to me but could be normal. This is my first car so I have no idea, thanks

Diesels and twinairs are 3000, so 3500 for a 1.2 FIRE is probably "normal" 🙂

Being your 1st car👍.
Learn how to check the 4 important things under the bonnet :

Coolant level
Oil level

Duckbills

Clutch and Thermostat area for leaks

Could save you from big bills and problems 🙂

I do hate high revving engines at motorway speeds.

Yes, that's normal for simple gas/petrol engines + C514 gearbox in Grande: 3500 RPM = 110 km/h @ 5th gear.
And most gears are about 500 RPM apart (when you change the gear +/- 1, but keep same vehicle speed).
