Technical gear lever squeak

right guys had a browse and couldn't find anything revenant, so here goes when changing gear to 1st and second i get a squeaking noise then in every other gear it goes. it sounds like the linkag might need lubing/greasing, any help would be appreciated. thanks

Gently pull up the cowling surrounding the leaver careful not to break the clips. Inside is packed with foam. Their is a white ball thing inside, spray in their with some silicone spray.
