Technical Fan Relay

I know this sounds silly, but I can't find the fan relay anywhere. I find fuses and the part (46520438) online, but I can't find the relay anywhere in the car. Does anyone have a photo of where I should be looking? I have a 2001 b

Cant send you a photo at the moment, but the fan relay should be in engine compartment, under black plastic cover on the farther side of engine room, close to the windshield. The cover is secured with three screws if memory serves me.

Thanks! I had already found the cover and removed the 3 screws. But what I saw there doesn't look anything like what I expected.
Just looked again. See photo. The right black relay is for the fan, I assume ?
I've only had the b for 2 weeks. Parts of it are still a mystery This also has to do with deciphering the ePer drawings.

I'm sorry I don't know. My own car is away, in major maintenance.
Try tracing the wire from the fan assembly, or perhaps run your engine on idle until fan engages, and see where the click will be. Then unplug the suspect, to see if fan stops.

I think we've identified it. Should be the black one on the far right ( in the photo ). Thanks for the info.
