Technical Exhaust Vibration

Hey guys,

I've recently had new center & rear parts for my exhaust fitted, and ever since then, there has been a crazy vibration when the car is idle, You can seem to feel it more through the arm rest & also the engine noise seems so much louder than it was before. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone has a solution? The car used to run so smoothly and quietly, The vibration, and the noise is really starting to irritate me now.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks guys .

Sounds like it hasn't been fitted properly, I'd take it back to wherever fitted to, they should be able to sort it.

Was it a pattern or genuine part.

Yes, it's probably vibrating against the underside of the car. Loosening the joints and moving it clear then tightening back up usually does it.

One of the rubber mounts may be soft (or even missing). The one at the back of the silencerbox is prone to cracking. They cost about £10 and are worth replacing each time you fit a new rear box.
