General Coolent temp

hi everyone i have a 1.9 multijet grande punto.
i recently noticed that when i was driving my coolent temp no longer sat in the middle it now drops slightly almost down to the bar below the middle?
is there something wrong with it or is this normal?

did this start happening with the cold weather?


does the car take longer to warm up in the morning?

your thermostat could be stuck open..

well i had a slight coolent leak so presumed that was too blame but its all been sorted now but its continuing to happen. the heater has always taken a while to warm up but i thought all diesels did take a while. also heater isnt very powerful either!
