A quick search of the part number reveals this for an Italian forum

Maybe Babbo Umbro could have a quick scan and get the jist of that?
Other than that. Here is the part available to buy

The topic is “Brakes that whistle in reverse”
In general the build up is that umpteen people had/have noisy brakes, mostly when reversing but in one case when braking going forwards on a curve. The gist is that there is an established solution, though the problem is annoying rather than dangerous.
Several messages, then turbopanda on Sunday 20 December 2015 (domenica 20 dicembre)
Mine has always wailed, since it was new, only that at the start it made it (the noise) going forwards, after braking on a bend. Now at a distance of one year and 12000 kilometres it made it increasingly and in reverse it was a concerto. I took it to the service and they were aware of the problem and knew what to do. They fitted two dampers on the rear calipers, the reference number on the bill is:
52025558 Damper
They told me that it involves two components, out of guarantee it would amount to 200 euros I believe.
Noise 100 per cent disappeared.

I’ve just read this topic.
From about one month my Cross also whistles and wails in reverse.
I was where I bought it and the mechanic said to me that it’s a common problem with all Fiat 4x4s. In practice it’s down to the rear pads that are worn and there’s nothing much to be done …..
But now I read that it’s sufficient to fit these dampers to solve the problem. What should I do? Return to the dealer and give him the reference number and oblige him to fit them?
Give me some advice also because, apart from this, my little Panda is a force of nature.

If you go to the dealer with your guarantee reference number they have to mount it for you - otherwise the guarantee is inactive and it costs.

Thanks Trapper(jack)
In less than a month I have the first service and I’ll see if they’ll also do this work.

Hello, I am new to the forum but not a new owner of a Panda 4x4. I have a Cross bought in December 2014 that after one month began to behave like a red arrow (express train) braking for a station. I immediately went to the dealer who immediately told me that it was normal and that after a while it would disappear. Obviously he was lying, knowing that he was lying I returned after a week (I didn’t have the time) after I’d read on the forum and somewhat angry I told him what I thought of them and the marque they were representing. Moral: 4 dampers under guarantee and the problem resolved. I ask myself how come they always have to try it on and annoy people anyway. Ba.

My own 4x4 TA is due a service prior to its first MoT so I’ll see what Vospers in Exeter have to say about this.
