I've read lots of similar threads, but still I'm not sure whats wrong and what to do.
I bought a Stilo 1.6 gasoline, 03 model and after a couple of weeks it started to act funny and stupid.
It cuts off at random times, both up- and down hill, and both hot and cold. It almost always starts again immediately, always within 5 min. It also stalls at idle (rpm about 700) most often when its cold. The warning "stop, engine" is always on. Some times when it cuts off, loads more errors pops up, "loose connection", "ASR failure" ect - they disappear when I start the car again. Also if I press the throttle a little at low speed and and let it up again, the car kinda jumps.
I've checked the connections to the ECU, they are fine. I've done a "semi" ecuscan with a cheap scanner, got p1687 and p0520.
I'm planning to clean the throttle body and do the throttle relearn procedure, might this help?
Also, is the engine cover necessary? I removed it to check the ecu, and one of my dogs sat on it and it broke in half....:bang:
I'm totally noob at Fiat, so all thoughts and ideas is very much appreciated!
