I have recently 'inherited' a Stilo but am a bit concerned that it's performance could be better. I'm no boy racer (54 years young) and only ever driven ordinary family saloons so I'm not expecting blistering performance or anything, but it's a late 2005 1.6 16V Active and overall in very good condition, and as such I would expect lively performance (all my previuos Fiats have driven excellently) but this one seems a bit sluggish, especially under load, overtaking or going uphill etc, and is only returning 30mpg even taking it easy.
I suspect the cambelt may be one tooth out, but before I go delving, what is the general opinion on what performance and MPG should be like on these cars?
