Hi guys
any recomendations?

im planning of getting shot of the 1.6 petrol and getting the 1.9jtd 100% though the rest of the year, new clutch, new cam belt again, so the wife can take ownership of the car.
i know the car is pretty good but i know the springs are original and the shocks are usable but have become soft (a bit boat like now).
can anyone point out some good quality shocks and springs for a oil burner that are not to hard riding (all round for a multiwagon), i dont mind it being lower slightly but it is a family working car that often get loaded to the max, with the current set up she is soon showing shes under load. Last year on a camping trip the car was hitting the stops which made the journey very uncomfy when taking her off road.
Ive been looking around and seen some but really need some feedback on people that own them and use them daily, the shops blurb always say how good they are but thats not a real world test.
many thanks for any recomendations...

Roy,

Do you know how different the shocks are on the MW compared to the 3dr. i think the rear dampers are different but can send you one to compare. I will have a look on german ebay for the DTS coil overs that i have on mine to see if they do anything for the MW.

mate of mine recently got some shocks from monroe he's fitted them to his fiat tipo sedicivalvole i took it for a test drive and was amazed at how good they were it's completely transformed the tipo. so i have been thinking about fitting some to my stilo multiwagon. on the test drive i took it round some roundabouts to try and find the limit and no matter how fast i tried to go i couldn't get it to slide and that's with some old manky tyres on it that need binning. before the new shocks i could get it to slide on a roundabout easy.

here's a link to monroe - http://www.monroeshop.co.uk/

i was going to go for the reflex monroe shocks.
