Hello

2 times in the last week the lights on my panda have cut out & now the government has turned the lights off on the motorway its quite scary!. First time 3-4 seconds 2nd time less.

They came back on themselves like nothing had happened. It only had a new battery 1.5 years ago.

Thanks!

Never heard of that happening apart from the indicators were being used and the fix for that was the replacement of the indicator stalk. But that sounds to me like a loose or damaged wire which is showing up intermittently. You might be best to have a bit of a rummage under the bonnet to check the wiring. Also check that the fuse is in correctly.

Cheers,

I found it: https://www.fiatforum.com/panda/349313-panda-2011-headlight-problem.html

for anyone else that finds this thread.

I looked at the connector and it was clean. gave the connector a go over with a wire brush to be sure.

I found that the negative terminal on the battery was not on hardly at all so I gave that a go over with the wire brush and clamped it back down hard.

Hoping it doesnt happen any more but for the moment, not much more i can do.

Thanks for everyone answering

After more driving and after ruling out the connector to by the fuse box. It does now seem to be connected to the lighting stalk. even tapping it lightly can make the lights go off on. The indicators do seem to do it also

If there a fix for this or will i have to buy a new stalk?

Thanks!
