Guys and girls I've just been contacted by Fiat UK as they are planning an article on the new Fiat Panda. They know we are very affectionate towards our Pandas and we give them names. So I've been tasked with finding out what peoples pandas are known by and how they got their names. For instance my MK1 is called WeeGem because when I first seen it I thought "you could be a we gem when your finished". Just a couple of lines would do don't go in to deep.
So if any of you are interested and don't mind it being published could you pm it to me as I need your name also for the article.
I think it will be good publicity for us and for FF as I will drop it in to.
Ta, Stuart

PS, nothing rude please :D

Embarrassing as it is for a grown chap to admit it, but my 4x4 may possibly be called Scamper (Scamps), on account of the fact that it does just that. And when the Rotrex wind is blowing at the full 11psi, the little chap most definitely scampers round the Surrey countryside....

err...abit like R1NGA, as long as no-one laughs since I am also male, 6ft, over 40, my little yellow 53reg dynamic is called Mtambo because my 3.5 year old son loves Chuggington on CBeebies.

Having owned my fair share of bangers over the years (Mtambo excluded of course as well as my 1990 216 Rover Vitesse), I am extremely grateful that Mtambo starts every time I get in him (with or without my son present) and I say well done Mtambo. Now Ethan says this.....and pats his door trim..bless

My registration is actually rather rude and I suspect the dealer was having a laugh, I am amazed it is legal. The first two letters are BJ, but the last three letters are even worse! Lets just say when I read out the last three letters I have to use the police code, otherwise it would sound like I was saying something quite rude!

For this reason my car knick name is such a rude word I would not want to say it on here.

My Panda is Dez and it even says so on his number plate... (bit of a cheat really - I asked MS to keep me a Dez plate when I was ordering my car, lol)

My first mk3 Panda 4x4 was named "The Gaymobile" by my son in view of its Dry Turquoise paintwork and bright yellow interior.
The black over sand Panda Cross which replaced it continued to be named Gaymobile. The suitability of this name was confirmed by a gay friend who, without prompting or knowledge of the nickname, declared it to be the most gay car he had ever seen.

"Snowy Toes" seemed appropriate for our Cross up here in wildest Scotland, especially after the last couple of winters.

Anybody who read the Teddy Edward stories to their children will remember Snowy Toes the panda. Actually, they were published so long ago that kids who read the books for themselves will now be old enough to drive.

Mines called russell due to the paper mats left in when it was picked up and quickly named by my girlfriend !

Within 2 minutes of me arriving home with my Eleganza for the first time, my 9 year old daughter christened it "Kung Foo". (after the kids film Kung Foo Panda)

Our 54 plate Dynamic in Guacamole green became Known as "Kermit" current red one has no name (as Yet) but does have a black and white cat and a man in a blue uniform on the dash (thanks grandkids:bang::bang:!!)
John B

My 100hp Panda in new orleans blue is called "Guido" in hommage to the plucky and fast tyre changing car in Disneys Cars film. If you've seem the film, you will understand and sums up the Panda 100hp perfectly.

Superb little car.

My girlfriend immediately christened my 100HP, WP stnding for Whooshy Panda to distinguish it from the CLX which is referred to as OB, Orange Bucket!

Guys brilliant stuff, I have over 20 responses.

Just one thing if I could ask, very few of you have given me your name and I can't use forum names. Could I ask that you send me a quick pm with your name so I can add it.

Thanks, Stuart
