Technical Brake switch - auto Panda problems

hi there looking for help please with my panda. its a 2006 automatic it won't go into gear i have changed the fluid thats under the battery. got second hand gearbox control unit but its still the same. when i first open the door i can hear the pump come on i jump start it and go to select a gear i hear a clicking noise as it want to select a gear but it doesn't happen and there is no change on the gear display. there is a ringing noise like when you open the door with the keys left in the ignition. would be really grateful for some help please

Sounds good. I think Vauxall ran both types of boxes on the Corsa. Got someone with an 05 plate like yours and someone with a 2000/2001 with a semi auto unit in it.

First check the reversing light switch and brake light switch. When either are faulty the box will get confused and refuse to play.

The gearbox is basically a standard manual box. When the clutch fails the gears wont engage. But before that the clutch action gets heavy. Depending how they are driven these cars can hammer the clutch so a worn out clutch should be on the list of things to check.

At least its a cheap fix on a Panda even a Duologic.
