General Pollen Filter

General Pollen Filter

Very similar but there's only the actual long, rectangular cover to remove. This may or may not be held in place by 5.5mm bolts.
On the RHD car the pedals get in the way but the filter is fairly flexible and depressing the clutch pedal improves access.
Make sure you replace the filter with the airflow arrows pointing in the original direction. When you have done the job, could you post, on this thread, the airflow direction as I'm sure it's the opposite to that shown for the Stilo and it would be useful for us all to know.

Those screws are missing! :)

I usually get my mechanic to replace it for me here, and I remember him having to unscrew...

My 2008 Panda Cross does not have the screws that hold the pollen filter in place. They have not gone missing, I suspect Fiat have discovered they are not really needed and just make fitting a new filter more difficult.

Just a questions regards the bolts/screws as the two appear to be missing, and trying hard to force the cover off but wont budge. Is there a particular way to remove it? Thanks

Having looked within the forum, it appears that as my Panda does not have air con, therefore it has no pollen filter, and the cover must be "fixed" by Fiat as no srews either and must be a sealed unit. Can you confirm please. Thanks.

Would love to know the same, 2007 Dynamic skydome so no aircon and the cover is there but I'm sure is moulded glued closed. Whatever I prod there is no sign it will come undone and no screws. Assume then no pollen filter ?

Living in Spain my car is l/hand drive making the removal and replacement very easy, there are no screws the cover just clips in.I used an airline and then put it in the washing machine and it came out very clean, its only a stop gap until I can locate one here, pricey and not easy. Also went on youtube and watched a video on the subject.

I too have a Dynamic Skydome Panda without AC. I've been trying to figure out whether the pollen filter needs changing and someone else said it probably doesn't have one. Did you ever find out if that is the case on our model?
