Introduction

Well here we go again!

Another one to the collection - bought off Auto Trader only an hour and a half away from home - now that makes a change!

Oh and a leaky CV Boot

2015-03-15_09_47_06.jpg

Plan is to have him undersealed and cavity waxed, the scab on the drivers door sorted and new bumpers (anyone got any new ones lying around?).

31k miles and one lady owner apart from the supplying dealer.

Even smells of old lady....

Too good to mod (though it will be getting a stereo donated by sky) this is the nearest I'll ever get to driving a "new" mk2.

Everything works interior is really fresh looking - though it looks abit like looking really closely at an old cathode ray TV.

The engine is extremely willing and fastest of all the Panda's I've driven in stock form. Gear box is very slick and no crunchyness whatsoever.

In fact I'm glad the cv boot needs replacing - gives me something to do with it!

Oh and it needs some new petrol tank straps - didn't someone have some stainless steel ones made up for sale?

Only other thing to mention is that it's only taken me seven panda's to get one with the "fire" badge still attached!!!

Last call on this car at the advertised price, I will be starting (or panda1408 will) work on it next week.

It is such a smashing car to drive despite my lack of love for it I can't just let it sit over winter without at least ensuring it structual integrity for the future!

I will re-advertise it but with the cost of the works added on.

Oh and it has had the wheels balanced today too!

Well work has been done and I collected the car yesterday. I haven't seen my camera since the move so didn't take any snaps but the car looks brilliant.

All credit to go to Freddy for his invisible welding and a superb paint job with a perfect match.

New bumpers which were spares from the colour project have lifted the finish.

Best of all the project came in on budget!

I'll be running around in the car until the weather turns and will certainly be showing her next year.

It still feels like a new car with only 32k on the clock - now it looks like one.:)

I must admit, I love the friendliness on the classic Panda threads, on threads for some of the Fiat models, there's a lot of bitchiness, which spoils the forum.

Verdict: buy classic panda to become one of us. Or alternatively keep loorking into FFCP section so you can grown the" panda bug", and buy panda few months down the line.

Lol! As much as classic Pandas are full of charm and character, there's, ahem, other Fiat models which I have a hefty fondness for, lol! ;)

Reserve price has been achieved.

I regret not going the classic car website route as it's such a good car probably could have advertised it for £2k.
Someone will get a bargain (or a dealer will pay trade price and resell it).

However, I'm useless at taking decent photos and ebay auction is a quicker way of moving it on.

I need the space - caravan to collect!

It has a lot of interest. I wish I had seen you were looking to get rid of it sooner. Whoever gets it needs to be informed of their obligations to the forum when they collect it. :)

Well, i bought it.

Ironically, I live in Derby only a mile or so away from where the original owner lived so its come home! :)

I plan to just enjoy and look after JuJu as its now known.

You need not worry, this one has been 'saved' :)

I'd like to try and improve a few bits as time goes on but nothing urgent. The inner rear arches would benefit from some preventative work plus a few minor bits underneath and the gearchange is sometimes a little unpredictable but its such a gem.

I am sooooo pleased with it. My jaw dropped when i first saw it :D
