hey guys. let me start off by saying that i am a non smoker. never would touch fags..:yuck:

i became interested in these when i heard a rumour that you could use these as a dietary aid to help loose weight. just so happens that my brother was going to get one anyway.

anyway my brother 420 (also a non smoker lol) bought one of these cheapish personal vaporisers. it was the GS Ego 2. one of the best "standard" <8w vape pens you can get. we used the GS-H25 dual coil tank (2.0 ohm coil)

he then upgraded to a 30w box mod called a cloupor mini with a kanger subtank (6ml) and stock 0.5ohm coil.

when he upgraded he gave me the GS Ego 2 and GS-H25 Dual tank.

i used this for a while then decided (after using my brothers box mod) to get a bigger one.
i didnt like the look of the box mods much so i went with the 40w Vamo V9 Mod with the Kanger Subtank plus (7ml). it looks pretty awesome..:

and the Subtank Plus (with spares and rebuild able coil!):

and the whole thing all together:

after a few weeks of running it, i am pretty happy with it. it tastes great and if you get the liquid mixture just right the subtank vapes really well at 40w. (and really smogs the room out! :D)

just a note though, the subtank is only really meant for 30w. but at the end of the day its all bout how quick the liquid can get to the coil.. i have not once yet had a burnt taste with this.

you also need to make sure you have batteries (18650 Li-ion) capable of surviving the current draw. we are using some high capacity, high output (30 amps) batteries.

we also make all our own fluids so know what goes into it and know it is nice and safe :) we use pure 99.5 - 99.7% glycerine with 0TDS Reverse Osmosis water. do not use any nicotine in our fluid.

what do you guys run?

well after a a few weeks i dont bother eating sweets now. i have some very nice flavours such as chocolate, strawberry, honey, pineapple, raspberry, blackberry, and red bull.
as far as weight loss goes, i was 110kg and now i am 106kg.

as far as addiction goes, i dont think i am. i have not used it for the past 2 days as i just didn't feel like it. must admit i used it today though as i had a craving for some gelatine sweets >_<

oh and a note to add is that i never "inhale" into the lungs. only into the mouth and out through the nose for the full taste.

I'm with dave on this one, high powered E-cigarette devices like the one you are using have been shown to break the liquids down and cause reactions that result in chemicals like formaldehyde and similar getting into the vapours and then into your mouth, where they are easily absorbed.

Vaccines have plenty of chemicals in them, but when it's a one off hit it's a very different thing to inhaling those chemicals several times a day every day for a number of years

In addition seems even more stupid to take this up when you've never even been a smoker before

only when adding nicotine.. ;)

Glycerin contains all the chemical elements needed to make formaldehyde and other aldehyde compounds no nicotine necessary the main one produced by burning Glycerin is Acrolein which is strongly linked with causing cancer in smokers and is considerably more harmful than other cancer causing chemicals found in ciggerette smoke.
The reason it's found in ciggerette smoke is because they add glycerin to tobacco to keep the moisture content up and stop it drying out.

It's also excreted from the body by the kidneys and has also been strongly linked to bladder cancers.

Nothing is without risk we know that long term inhalation of most things leads to tissue damage in the lungs just because of how delicate and complex the lungs are, currently the full facts of e-ciggerettes are not understood however moves are being made to legislate against them and the main target of this legislation being the high powered units like the one above.

As someone young fit and free from tobacco use, and someone who I note from your YouTube videos suffers badly from hay fever (which is also linked to asthma and eczema) it really isn't in your best interests to go down this route.

hmm i found this stops my hay fever dead..

as far as changing the chemical elements of Glycerin you physically have to combust it. which these do not do.

anyway guys, i made this post to see what other forum members use. not to get a lecture.

i weighed myself about an hour ago and was 104kg.. and that was after a huge sunday dinner. as far as using it as a weight loss aid.. i think it works pretty good.

Just my two cents...
I am a smoker used to a heavy stuff - Camel, Lucky Strike, Gitanes, Gauloises Caporal, you name it. I do stand my ground when faced with a Cuban cigar.
However, some time ago, I bought the e-cig thing hoping it would help me to limit my smoking trips to the balcony when it is freezing outside. No such luck.
I am finding the thing very dangerous and even more addictive than normal tabs. It provides sudden and very short "rush". I imagine it is similar to the difference felt between beer and whisky or coke and crack (not that I tried the Colombian stuff, on contrary - I have enough first-hand reference from my former friends to stay far, far away from the white poison).
Honestly, the e-cig sits in a drawer and I am trying to limit my smoking by not buying ready-made cigarettes. I am rolling my own, including filter, which makes one think twice about the effort needed to light a tab.

iTaste MVP 2.0 and Protank2 has been go to device for the past 6 months. Lowered the nicotine from 24mg to 6mg in the past year so will be 0mg soon enough!

Was a 20-a-day smoker for 18 years with no desire to quit so happy to be almost off the nicotine and delighted to no longer be inhaling the carcinogens, tar, etc contained in cigarettes.

With regards to formaldehyde, tests have shown that the voltages used by vaporisers does not produce formaldehyde. Higher voltages DO produce formaldehyde but these voltages render the vaporiser unusable possibly to the point of damaging parts of it.

(CZ)enda, if you are getting that you are using a way to high nicotine content liquid.

yeah to get these things to produce any kind of nasty chemical you have to be using a standard 2.2ohm coil and pushing about 5 volts through it causing the thing to burn the liquid so much it is basically making smoke.
they were trying to find something bad about them.. they could not.. so they then cranked up the voltage until it did start making nasty stuff. Then claimed that they do it all the time or "when they fail" (which is impossible on ones that do not have buck boost technology in them)

i have not used mine for the past 2 days. been sat here next to me. ive got pineapple in it at the moment.. tastes so good.. :D
