Hello

I don't know the model of my car or anything but this is it:

I don't think it has blue&me since it doesn't have bluetooth but when I press one of the buttons on the radio it says AUX, but there is no AUX in my radio and there is no USB in my glove box, so I don't know if that's a glitch?

I was wondering if there is anyway I could get AUX in my car? It might be too old of a model for that, but the USB media to get music through would be great.

I tried to put in a new radio from Halfords but only the AUX would work and the signal was terrible on the radio because it was digital so I have went back to my original radio.

My radio is a Fiat 199 CD SB05

Any help/advice is appreciate, thank you!

AUX on the radio suggests your radio supports AUX input, but might not have one (presumably not, you would've noticed it when you had the radio out). Don't fret, they're easy to implement!

You need one of these:
[ame="https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0079Y57I0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Connects2 CT29FT01 -Aux Adapter Fiat Grande Punto 07>: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics[/ame]
Something like this (maybe not as long, my AUX can reach the back seats!):
[ame="https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0038K65MQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Cable-Tex 3.5mm Jack to 2 x RCA Phono Stereo Audio: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics[/ame]

Use your ISO keys or whatever you used to get the radio out with, and that Connects2 will be able to connect to the back of the radio (some people report issues with some connectors being right, but not slotting correctly - had no issues with linked one though).

Connect the RCA to 3.5mm jack cable to the RCA connector end, find a way to get the 3.5mm end of the cable out from behind the stereo (I pulled mine under blindly, wouldn't recommend it - maybe side of the radio?) and you'll have your AUX ready.

EDIT: A better guide to explain the implementation - https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-guides/127299-generic-mp3-input-active-hu.html

Hey thanks a lot for your reply!

Unfortunately I don't know how to do any of this, do you think if I showed or asked a mechanic that they would know, or something? I've never done anything like this before that's all.

Is this for just AUX or is it the USB?

Is there a way to get it where it's USB playing the music not AUX?

If not I will order the above wires,

also can someone tell me for my model of radio and car what I need to order to remove my current radio (it's a digital radio) and to be able to put a new one in, the pins or the screwdriver or whateveR?

thanks again

Instead of fiddling around with the back of your radio, why don't you just buy an FM transmitter that you simply plug into the cig lighter

They'll probably charge you a few bob for it, but Halfords would probably fit it for a guesstimation of around £50-£100?

This is what you need to remove the radio:
[ame="https://www.amazon.co.uk/RW-83-ISO-Radio-Removel-Keys/dp/B004UAETIU/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1464931535&sr=8-10&keywords=iso+removal"]RW-83 ISO Radio Removel Keys: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike[/ame]
This will click in to those holes on the radio, and then you can pull the radio out of the holder.

Be aware, that as far as I understand if you detach the power cable at the back, you might need your radio unlock code. There's a thread on the I.C.E. forum that gives them out for donated members, but just a pre-warning. I managed to attach mine without taking out the power cable.

If you follow the guide I linked at the bottom of the post, it shouldn't be okay. If you've removed your radio to replace it with the stock one, then you shouldn't find this too difficult.

This is for AUX not USB, USB is a feature of Blue & Me. Non-B&M car radios are not smart enough to understand something like that, whereas with AUX your radio essentially acts as a massive pair of headphones - passing whatever audio plays on your phone to your speakers.

Thanks for your help, will the device you listed to remove the radio also reattach it? Just currently there's a digital radio in my car so I need to remove it and be able to put the one that came with my car back in.

Yeah, if you're putting the OEM radio back in you can just slot it in, push and it'll stay in place. The keys essentially release the catches and gives you leverage to pull the radio out.

Ordered everything off your list, thanks!

Do I need to order spade connectors too? I saw in the implementation guide you listed people are talking about spade connectors?
