Wheels, suspension, carbon fibre bits inside and out. That's basically it.

I'm seriously considering buying a new 500 Pop. This type of car would be a first for me. Had a test drive of the new 500S on Tuesday but just can't justify spending $25k on it even though it's got a couple goodies, but nothing retro-fitting/modding can't fix.

A Pop is a 1.2 while a S is a 1.4 with six speed, bigger brakes etc. Would be a big ask to retrofit a Pop to AU S spec. A Pop should cost about $17k and a S should be around 20k I would have thought. Certainly less than $25k.

I hear you, I was more interested in the looks of the car itself. More show than go type of thing lol. The 500S that's fully loaded with the new TFT display, xenon headlights and glass sunroof was $25k

Wheels/tyre, bumpers and fitting are going to cost you at least $3k and with no guarantee it will look as good as an original.

I'd most likely start off with wheels and suspension, then go from there..

As the 500 has sold to a pretty niche market until the last couple of years there's very little in the way of off-the-shelf aftermarket bits and pieces available locally. At the moment your best bet is probably to surf overseas websites and buy stuff online, and get stung with the shipping and possibly GST at the border.

Keep it under $1000 and you'll avoid hassles with customs.

I got in contact with a guy over at 500 Madness, asking them is they had any parts for RHD 500's, but they are very limited...they have a few carbon fibre interior bits but that's about it. Would you recommend any other sites? Or even locally? I'm very new to the 500's.

I've been told that by a few people. The first thing I'm looking into is a set of eibach pro springs, or do you think I would need a coilover kit? Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Don't buy from the US if you can avoid it, postage is far too expensive.

Look for UK suppliers this will also save any LHD/RHD differences, and US cars are a bit different to the rest of the world. Not everything will fit 100%.

Demon Tweeks sell B14 coilovers either online or on eBay. They're just under the $1000 (+ postage) threshold (if you go over it you'll be up for an extra ~$300 in tax, duty and brokerage. You can probably order B14's from local Bilstein suppliers, but likely you'll have to wait for them to arrive from Germany anyway.

I'm getting B14's for UFI when the OE ones have a few more miles on them. I would never simply buy lowering springs without addressing the damping too.

If it has Xenon headlights and glass roof that isn't standard for the S line.

You'd have to order it that way and wait 6 months, and that's what a few dealers have brought in and price is $25k

Thanks UFI, will definitely look into that.

Yes, sorry I thought you were looking at stock they had on hand. Be prepared for a wait if you order one.

i got the B14's after about 70,000 kms on the car. By then the Top Mounts were a mess and also the rear dampers were leaking, so a good time to change all the suspension at once including top mounts.

Has anyone here in Australia purchased a Pop 1.2 2014 release Series 3 and experienced any of the Euro6 1.2 Throttle Response & Hill Start Issues as mentioned in this article?

I have just agreed to buy one, but don't sign on the dotted line until Sunday.

Would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks
