Following removal of my bumpers, its now MOT time and I have no rear fog light as it was mounted to the bumper..

I'm not sure where I should mount it - any ideas?

I wonder if I could convert one of the reverse lamps to a red bulb???

Does it need to be a certain intensity/brightness? Iv had a look at the mot guidance and it doesn't say so?

Fog lights didn't become mandatory until the construction and use regulations were revised in 1985. You could get away with not having one.

I read the mot guidance online which says all cars after 1980 had to have a rear fog light???

Only minor problem is.... Iv just been trying to get both reverse lights working... I understand reverse lights are not an mot requirement, but only one works. And on investigation I think the bulb holder is faulty inside the passenger side cluster.

So I can fit a red bulb, which luckily has to be on the offside, which works as a reverse light, for use as a fog light for mot...

I really need to repair or get a new passenger side rear cluster.

I was wondering about fitting a fog behind the rear grill, but it would be obscured so probably no point.

Better still the led retro fit bulbs appear white when not switched on

...on every car I have owned for the last five years. Even though I have a noisy car or a bright bloody green one I still have to have a reverse bleeper so people can hear me reversing out of my drive way.
