I bought a 1979 x1/9 speciale earlier this summer and am still in the process of figuring out what exactly I have. It is a carburated 1.3 version without a/c I have searched this entire summer for information about the speciale series but cannot find anything that actually explains what makes them so "speciale?" I believe they came with sweet looking striped seats but mine has white leather instead. One thing that confuses me even more is that it was made in late '78 so that the bumpers and dash are of the previous style. In the middle of the dash however there isn't and never was a radio but I have an unconnected automatic antenna.
