Re: Retro fit Aero Wiper Blades!

Surely if the whole blade is on the screen there is 1 contact point; 1000+ contact points would mean that you had to have 999+ non-contacting points, hence a poor wipe!

Hi

My name is Pete from Autobulbs Direct.

I just thought i would clear this point up for those who thought this a bit of an odd statement on our website. It actually states there are over 1000 points of pressure, not points of contact. The rubber is manufactured with certain sections of the blade under more pressure than others to ensure the correct contact to the curvature of the screen. As it can be done across the single strip of rubber during manufacture it has enabled it to have over 1000 pressure points to ensure the entire blade is correctly touching the screen. The original metal framed blades only have 4-8 pressure points.

Of course, if you are talking about contact points, both normal and retro fit aero blades will have (or should have) one continuous contact point otherwise you will get sections of the screen not being wiped!

Hope this clears it up for everyone.

Kind Regards
