hi there am new on here and new to fiats but have just purchased a mk1 punto track car running a 1.4 tipo engine. it already has some tuning done including hi lift cam but wondering what i need to do to get the most from it. suspension is good it's running leda and carbon brakes so can handle anything but want to stick to 1400 class for the moment

Good tuning knowledge can be found on Guy Croft's forum, he has done significant work on developing the 1.4 Sohc engine for Cork institute of Technology for rally usage. It is has far more potential then the later punto 16v units. Standard NA tuning works well if carried out correctly, port modification, high lift long duration cams, increased compression. All changes will need proper calibration and I would consider tuning at Cork inst of tech engine development. Keith Mc Mullen of CIT worked with guy developing his storming 175 hp NA uno rally car.
