the most reliable bravo?

well everyone says 1.8 is most reliable but.....;
wishbone,coil spring,slave cylinder,rear wiper have all needed replacement on mine but tbh the whole lot cost less than 200 inc labour(millions of scrap donors).
10 years on +97k engine is sweet pulls lovely through the gears,low insurance faster than saxo vtr,corsa sport,vectra sri 120,subaru 2.0,escort gti AFTER ALL FIAT ARE CHEAP FERRARI'S conclusion SEXY-QUIKISH-STYLISH-90% RELIABLE-CHEAP PARTS AND INSURANCE

ok.. I can't see anything on that list that isn't a normal wear and tear servicing part.

The rear wiper is a common bravo mod :)

From a reliability front, you go to the car, turn the key and that amazing difference that your fiat actually starts happens!!!....

and the older TD diesels are well proven and dont have the mAF issues the JTD's have.

Well mines 133k now coming up from london, 11 years old and still hasnt gone wrong touch wood!

the bosch MAF sensors dont just give JTD's trouble - they gave trouble on every other make they were fitted to.. e.g all VAGs etc.

my 1.2 has given me no end of jip in the 3 or so months ive had it.. and now... its apparently terminal. still drives tho.. just dunno how long for! =S

Owned my 2001 2.0 litre Marea for 13 months/12,000 miles now and it's first fault/failure of any kind happened yesterday - the electric cooling fan failed to come on when it should and so the car started overheating. :(

I suffered the plight of pulling-over in a rush hour traffic jam in central Brighton, bonnet up, whilst letting it cool down enough to let it safely continue, (it did'nt lose any coolant) which it did OK and has run again today for 80+ miles with no probs.

Will trace the fault tomorrow, but other than the mild humiliation yesterday, no harm done.
