Hi All,
Been a while since I posted here. I've got a potential issue that I cannot for the life of me diagnose or get anyone to diagnose for me.
Sat in my car, driving along when suddenly this quite loud noise starting coming from what sounded like around where the gearbox is.
The noise itself is sort of hard to describe, it's like a clunking noise spinning? Like a grinding noise but not a grinding noise (if that makes sense, on off on off on off... etc) Anyway it isn't a healthy sound, I drove around for a while towards my local garage, pulled over turned off and then back on (what a mistake) as since earlier I can't get it to come back.
I have however noticed going up a steep hill or underload you can kind of hear the underlying tone of it trying to come back... It's almost like something is loose or broken.
This may be linked to about a week ago, under heavy acceleration in 4th/5th gear around 2000 revs around when the turbo is kicking in a very deep vibration suddenly was felt through the entire car and then it stopped...)
Not something I want to leave, as the garage couldnt replicate it they're a bit puzzled by my description lol.
It is to be said on occasion I give it it's fair share of a booting (Poor car, I indeed feel terrible lol)
Anyone have the slightest clue what this is? I'd film a video of the noise if I could!
