Hi Leo, here's mine, inertia units fitted using existing belt mounting pointsHi All
I am wanting to install seat belts to the two fronts seats of my 500F and was wondering if any members could share a photo of their seat belt installations. Thanks.
...actually Securon 500/30, not SabeltI used Sabelt 500/30 (as recommended by others on here). I got them from Paddock Spares - they are intended for Series Land Rovers and include various brackets etc. which enable them to be fitted satisfactorily for a 500, though I did have to reverse the orientation of the tongue by folding over the belt and feeding it through (does that make sense?). All existing mounting points used on my 1971 500L
Also, the receivers could really do with angle brackets to position them better, as otherwise the stems gave to twist a bit and are tight against the edge of the seat. They're not included in that kit, so I've just ordered some from a separate supplier (Belt-Up Safety Products)...actually Securon 500/30, not Sabelt
