Took my 100HP in for its MOT today and having had some advisories when it was serviced, (see below) I wasn't hopeful.
I replaced the tyre and did a plastic weld job on the headlight bracket, so only the ball joint.
I bought the parts and had a look myself but couldn't find anything wrong.
Told the guy at MOT garage who I know and he said if it fails on it, they will fit the parts for me.
Surprise surprise, nothing wrong at all. Just a service centre trying to get extra money.
Good news is, the car past with just an advisory on rear tyres wearing on the insides.
Got 3 advisories from Crawley Down Group
1. Front headlamp mounting bracket broken (deer incident) (£99.60)
2. Cut in drive side front tyre down to cord (£96.60)
3. Ns lower arm ball joint split (£262.82)
