General replacement wing mirror

Hey folks.

Awoke to find my passenger wing mirror had suffered a fatal accident.

Phoned FIAT garage who quoted £250 (seriously), then tried a local FIAT specialist who came up with £190. The major pain seems to be the price of the parts.

After fishing around on the net I have found a few sites offering the wing mirror foraround £50 which is a lot cheaper than the FIAT part. Granted, they are not original FIAT parts but if they work then who cares.

Just wondering if anyone has used one of these companies and what their experience was.

All the mirrors appear to be the same stock photo so i presume they are all manufactured by the same company

Who did you end up going with?

I'm in the same situation, some bugger took my mirror clean off this mornign en route to work- didn't even slow down!
I used www.breakeryard.com, partsgateway and a few others, so far cheapest quote is £55, but that is with delivery & (importantly) it matches!

Reckon they are similar supply everywhere (apart from Fiat dealers), I've put a request in to more breakers for matching colours, but I think about £50-odd is the least I'll find for a new one. Of course then I need to find paint to match! :bang:
