Technical Rear windscreen coming loose?

Hello everyone!

I noticed an issue with my back windscreen yesterday where the bottom left of it (and top left slightly) is coming away from then frame/rattles when closing the boot.
Has anybody else had this issue and, if so, what did you do to fix this/get it fixed? Tried to contact Autoglass but they said they won't reseal the window to the frame unless I replace the entire windscreen (but the glass isn't damaged).

Hi welcome can you lift the glass away from the hatch surround(very slightly) are you saying? Has the car had a rear end crash?

Hi John,

Yes, exactly that! No accidents at all, just noticed it making a rattling noise as of yesterday & realised it can be lifted slightly away from the frame.

Best bet would be a local glass fitter rather then the big chains

It's a tricky fix the bonded area is hidden from both sides inside and out, not heard of this before especially, if, it's factory original regardless of how old( our car is a 09 plate)
For a correct fix then yes the screen needs removing and re fitting
