Tuning radiator mk1 sporting

hi everyone im having troubles with my radiator it wont turn off when my engine is switched off. it was on last night for about 15-20,so i put the keys in the engine was cold so i unplug it,but whats getting me is it does turn off and on fine when the engine is running....sum1 help me!!!

I presume you mean the radiator fan?

The fan on the Mk1 is switched on the negative side, while the +ive side is a direct fused connection and is unswitched.

What happens when you turn your engine off is that heat still soaks from the block into the coolant, which keeps the thermoswitch triggered "on" until the temperature drops.

But 15 - 20 minutes seems excessive -- I've never seen one stay on for more than 5 minutes. Might mean that the thermoswitch (on the radiator) is past its sell by date or that the circuit is earthing out (frayed cable).

found the problem lose wire ..it will be sorted 2moro...!!!??? hopfully
