Technical Punto immob problems

I have a Punto 1997 and it was running flawlessly still 2 hours ago.

Now when I tried to start it up, the light with "code" and key just keeps on.

Starter runs as should, but I guess the immob will not deactivate itself.

I have been using the same key, so it is not the key, nor the battery which is in fine condition also.

I heard from the guy who used to run this car before that approx 2 years ago he had some issues with immob and back then they were tracked down to an earthing issue. Where the earthing was bad, he did not remember.

Do you guys have any ideas where to look for possible earthing issues? Or do you have any other ideas?

You might try another key. But, yes, could be an earthing issue. Follow the braided cables back from the antenae on the steering lock to the codebox, and start there.

It's working well... There was just a bad connection on the cable, because unplugging, blowing into connection and plugging it again made the difference.
