Hi all
I recently installed a Kenwood KSC-SW11 in my Punto Evo. Unfortunately, as I went to test it out, it definitely did not sound right. The bass felt too loud and was distorted, if that's the right term. See the video below. If I lower the volume then the bass disappears. If I raise it then its distorted. Definitely shouldn't be this way from the reviews I'd watched.
I had installed a RCA converter and tapped into the rear speakers as I thought it'd make the process easier (which it didn't) so could this be the issue? I've attached a photo of the adapter I'd used. The kit also came with a speaker input however I didn't use that.
I am 99% sure I have made the right connections in all places however cannot figure out why it sounds so bad. Could the sub itself be faulty?
I'd be grateful if someone can shed some light on this. It genuinely is frustrating.
