Hey guys, I bought my Punto Evo in June from a used car garage , and always had issues with the radio. I do wish I’d have took it back straight away for them to look at. But now I’ve moved for a job and left to figure it out myself.
I have never had radio reception from the stereo. There is always a static noise throughout every ‘preset’ channel. I bought one of the Bluetooth adapters for the cigarette lighter to use with my phone. This works most of the time but sometimes when at traffic lights or if I knock it , it will have a static hum to it. Not as worse as the radio itself. I bought a new antenna a while back to replace the old one in case it was damaged, not made a difference. I have just bought those stereo clips to take the stereo out and have a look behind, to check for loose wire etc. pressed them all firmly back and doesn’t seem to get rid of the static.
This is really bugging me and if anyone has had a similar problem and has any advice or tips I would muchly appreciate it. I’ve attached some photos as I’ve pulled the stereo out. Although I’m not too sure which one leads to the radio, is it the big circular one at the side?
Cheers
