Well, almost, as I went out at lunchtime today to find someone had given this such a hefty shove that it was hanging by the two wires to connect it to the mirror movement control inside the car. (Previously I've twice had it given a bit of a shove from above - the second time after it was 'fixed' by my garage after I took it for an MOT, forgot to mention the problem to them, and two days afterwards I noticed that they'd put a strong clip round it to keep it upright instead of a penny inserted from underneath to keep it upright)
I see from another thread on this forum in 2003 that the answer is to buy a new mirror assembly, but how do I disconnect that from the current mirror and connect it up to a new one? I haven't taken a long look at it as I had to go out shortly afterwards and so just taped it up which worked for a while but now it's hanging off again and it was dark by then so there wasn't much else I could do today.
I could take it back to the garage and ask them to do it, but if it's not too hard then I could give it a go. Bear in mind that I am not very good with cars so if it's more advisable to go straight to the garage then I won't mind being told to do that
Thanks in advance and here's to a car-hassle-free 2007 for all on this forum.
