Hi everyone,
So today i removed the old plastic cambelt cover, because it was totally destroyed and rotted. I found it a bit of a pain to remove from the top without removing the crank pulley but ok, i got it removed.
Now, i was missing the bottom bolt for the cover, but the 3 ones that bolt to the head were present.
Upon fitting the new cover, the bottom portion of the cover produces a horrible rattle sound. I assume that is because i don't have the bolt fitted there. So ok.
But i also noticed that the new cover is a bit "misaligned". The bottom hole for the bolt doesn't really line up. I started the car, and didn't notice anything rubbing or scratching the cover.
My question is, why is the cover misaligned now? Did i f*** something up during refitting?
