Not sure you've got quite the right wording there. A residence is where someone lives. Perhaps resistance is what we're looking at. I'm wondering what to do really as the error was not there before the gearbox and clutch were fitted but they are now there, would a new gearbox and clutch fitted affect the lambda sensor?
The phrase points me towards the heater part of one of the lambda sensors, but its timing is off. The lambda sensor needs to be hot to operate efficiently. It has a heating element to achieve this, and once hot, it stays hot, because of the hot exhaust. So the heating element is only active at startup and for a short time afterwards. I would expect the warning to appear very soon after startup.
If you drive and just park, without reversing, does the light stay out? If so, that suggests an engine mounting issue where the engine moves when reversing, and stretches a wiring connection.
Look underneath, to the rear of the engine, there should be a short 'dog bone' mounting. This controls the engine movement. Have they left it off, or is it worn out?
Now from above, with the engine cold, locate the lambda sensors in the exhaust, and check the wiring is secure, but free to move when the engine moves.
If that lot fails to find the issue, we need the code read again, and the actual code, not the description from whatever diagnostic tool they are using.
