Technical Petrol leak at rear

When filling petrol tank full, there is a slight dripping leak (and petrol smell)
Its not just from any spillage around the filler.
Probably a hose connection from filler to tank is weeping? -- will be taking a look underneath later today.

Just wondered if anyone else has this

Its fine (no leak or smell) once tank is down to 7/8th full
or if dont fill up to the top

Looks like it was coming for a normal small black pipe that is the overflow/vent
Being full and parked on a slight slope (rear facing downhill) led to a fews drips for a while

Hi

The plumbing is all clipped together

Probably been apart before and badly sealed

You might find grande parts are identical (all typed yesterday..before your update)

Personally.. I dont FILL tanks anymore

With small engined cars.. you really notice the weight of a full tank ( an extra adult passenger..)
There are also concerns about excess fuel contaminating the EVAP system..
A costly repair.


I had a tank out of a 188 punto.. for sill welding.. the black plastic tubing is just like the underbonnet tubing..

Directional and using the clip style stainless fittings


IF its damaged.. the GrandePunto part numbers are probably still relevant
