Hi there,
There is someone selling larger brake discs and calipers for the Y10 turbo - see www.y10turbo.co.uk - Need to fit larger wheels though!
I haven't tried it myself and I don't know how much it costs but it might be what you are looking for - at a price.
The standard Y10 has the same discs as a Panda.

Thanks for the tip! But fitting larger wheels would prove to be a problem for me as the Portuguese authorities are very narrow minded regarding that issue. Besides, I'd like to keep it looking completely standard as I'm not a big fan of "modded" cars. The postage to Portugal would definitely be a problem too.
Still looking for a donor car for the servo, as I've read good things about the lower model Unos and Y10s braking abilities and the only major difference between the 2 and the Panda is the servoassistance... but due to the lack of time and funds, it will definitely be a medium to long term project if it doesn't prove to be completely out of the scope of my (modest) mechanical ability.
