Ok I’ve moved to the front of daughters seicento , total overhaul but the only replacement driveshafts available don’t have the
vibration damper like on the original. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find an aftermarket one to clamp on , ive even tried getting the one off the old shaft but after a mess taking the cv joints off etc that didn’t work. has anyone had this ? and has been ok without it or do I need to find one ? .

Many vehicles have such a damper on the longer drive shaft. It is very rare to find a replacement shaft with one on. Never known one to be available as a replacement.

Even without needing a new shaft, they will eventually perish and fall or be taken off. If really sensitive, you may be able to feel some small increase in harshness.
